Subject: War of the Rebellion
Subject: War of the Rebellion
This is an invaluable, primary source of information concerning The War of Northern Aggression.
History, as it was, presented in an unadulterated, unfiltered fashion.
Read for just awhile and experience the movement of troops as they happened. The sidebars of orders, directives and edicts issued by those in command for whatever effect are recorded accurately and at times are chilling. What is necessary to wage war successfully in an era before instant communication?
This compilation is the real deal. As close as you can possibly get to the mindsets and movements of those involved.
This is history alive. Living and breathing and still pertinent to life in America though 140 years distant.
Is the American Civil War still important to today's USA? I say yes and I recommend this compilation to serious students and other interested parties as not only a great thing for browsing and thought but also the exciting "You are There" aspect the reading will bring to you.
